Willie Bester is well known, both locally and internationally, for his innovative artworks which are made from “found objects” culled from scrap yards, police stations, armouries, hardware stores and hospitals. These objects are then reworked into challenging and expressive sculptures and assemblages. Bester’s aim is to “keep people awake”. The brief for House Bester was therefore highly original combining a family home that also needs to serve as a studio from which Willie can  work, entertain visitors, as well as exhibit his work.
