In 2012 CS Studio Architects were appointed by Cape Nature and the Department of Transport and Public Works to undertake the re-design of the existing infrastructure at Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve into a viable tourist destination. It is situated in the mountains behind Barrydale, between Heidelberg and Suurbraak.
The site was subdivided into two Areas: Area “A” included the renovation of an administration building, a new shop and 3 field workers’ accommodation units at the entrance of the site.
